Ortopaedic Arthroplasty Surgeons: Halifax
The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Dalhousie University and Nova Scotia Health Authority invite applications for two fellowship trained Orthopaedic Arthroplasty Surgeons to join their health care team in the Central Zone at the Dartmouth General Hospital facility.
Candidates require an MD or equivalent, an active Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in Orthopaedic Surgery with additional accredited fellowship in Arthroplasty and must be eligible for licensure in the Province of Nova Scotia.
The successful individual will participate in committees with clinical, educational, research or other mandates as required. The Division holds monthly meetings as well as monthly Journal Club and weekly Grand Rounds.
The Dartmouth General Hospital is an acute care hospital with a 24-hour emergency, inpatient medical, surgical and critical care units that services approximately 120,000 people in Dartmouth and eastern Halifax Regional Municipality areas.
The successful applicant would be expected to take rotating adult trauma call with the remainder of the Orthopaedic group in Dartmouth. Clinical resources will be shared between the Dartmouth General Hospital and the Halifax Infirmary.
